Glasgow creative projects share in over £1.6m National Lottery funds

A celebration of African and Caribbean dance, a nationwide digital youth theatre initiative, and a programme to commemorate the work of Alasdair Gray are among the Glasgow-based projects and research and development initiatives sharing in over £1.6million of National Lottery funding through Creative Scotland in the latest round of Open Fund awards.

Over £1.6m National Lottery funds reach creative projects

A nationwide digital youth theatre programme, a celebration of African and Caribbean dance and a newly conceived poetry festival are among 82 projects and research and development initiatives sharing in over £1.6million of National Lottery funding through Creative Scotland in the latest round of Open Fund awards.

The Town House (Hamilton), Rutherglen Town HallLanark Memorial HallEast Kilbride Village Theatre and East Kilbride Arts Centre have received funds as part of a £250,000 package awarded to South Lanarkshire Culture and Leisure Ltd, from the open call for applications to the Scottish Government’s Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund through Creative Scotland.
