New funds are available for Scottish based artists, companies, producers and venues for touring live theatre and dance work from Autumn 2023 onwards.

90 new mothers finding connection in new writing

Seeking a safe space to foster connection, an opportunity for honest discussions and a renewed sense of identity, new mum Catrin Kemp set up The New Mothers' Writing Circle at the beginning of her own writing journey post-motherhood in 2020. With a grant of £56,390 from The National Lottery through Creative Scotland’s Open Fund, Catrin’s now able to offer nearly 100 new mothers in Glasgow time for creativity and reflection at a key point of change in their lives.

New Report reveals £85.3million Emergency Covid Funds Reached Arts, Screen and Creative Industries, Mar 2020 - Sept 2021

A new independent report published today, Thursday 11 August confirms that emergency Covid-19 funds of £85.3million from the Scottish Government, distributed through Creative Scotland, reached individuals and organisations working in Scotland’s culture and creative sector, between March 2020 and September 2021.
